HVAC Mechanical Engineer

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Elmira ON (5 min from Waterloo).
We are looking for someone with 2 years or more of experience with HVAC design.
This individual will be a key member of our leading edge team focusing on geothermal commercial applications and design.
Responsibilities:
- • Working closely with our sales and project management team providing design and CAD drawings for geothermal ground loops and distribution systems.
- • Provide Mechanical Drawings, Equipment schedules, Plumbing and Controls schematics.
- • Primary role to be commercial focused but also provide support for large residential projects.
- • Work with suppliers to resolve factory related issues and concerns.
- • Work with customers on Grant assistance and feasibility studies.
- • Periodic travel may be required.
Essential qualifications:
- • B.A.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- • P Eng. designation in Ontario or eligible for P Eng.
- • 2+ years’ experience with HVAC design
- • Geothermal experience and asset but not required
- • Knowledge of Carrier HAP or Trane Trace load calculation programs
- • High level of comfort with AutoCAD
- • Candidate must be comfortable working on their own without supervision
- • Ability to effectively communicate within a positive team environment

Regional Sales Manager - Central Ontario/Eastern Canada

We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join our team and will be based in the Greater Toronto Area (or slightly north-east of the GTA).
This position will accelerate NextEnergy’s growth by managing all regional sales activities in assigned dealers or regions.
This will be accomplished by mining incremental residential sales opportunities at current dealers, as well as cultivating new business in
targeted categories and geography. This position will be responsible for creating residential sales plans, realizing goals related to these
sales plans, managing dealer activities and helping to frame opportunities with product and service solutions that are integrated with the
NextEnergy vision.
Responsibilities:
- • Manage all residential sales activities in assigned dealer and/or regions (s).
- • Present and sell company products and services to current dealers, increasing mind and market share.
- • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and drive increase sales activities.
- • Follow-up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity and business development activity.
- • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
- • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
- • Meet dealer and regional sales targets, unit sales targets; and company DSO targets.
- • Identify and resolve any dealer concerns, and technical inquiries. Majority of technical issues will be directed to NEI technical experts.
- • Prepare a variety of status reports, including sales reports, market and competitive analysis report, closings, follow-up, performance to plan, and monthly or bi-weekly report.
- • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
- • Coordinate and orchestrate marketing events such as seminars, training, trade industry shows, information nights etc.
- • Follow-up for collection of payment as recommended by NextEnergy Accounts Receivable.
- • Develop annual and quarterly sales plans by dealer region.
- • Coach dealer on marketing, sales and business development to deliver NextEnergy results.
- • Other activities as required.
Position Profile:
The ideal individual will be disciplined self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, growing, and creative entrepreneurial environment.
A proactive individual who enjoys selling and is driven by sales growth/financial growth. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
with demonstrated time and territory route management. Previous experience within the HVAC industry considered an asset. Willing to
participate in regional energy or environment associations focused on growth of alternative energy solutions. Comfortable with frequent
travel and ability to work from a home office. Individual will be a self starter, accustomed to managing and motivating him/herself and
driven by results.

Refrigeration Technical Support Specialist

We are currently seeking an HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our team based in Elmira ON (5 min from Waterloo).
We are looking for someone with 5 years or more of experience troubleshooting HVAC refrigeration systems.
This individual will be a key member of our technical support team.
Responsibilities:
- • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate to OEM support if required.
- • Provide onsite field support and onsite dealer training as needed.
- • Coordinate the reconditioning of equipment for resale.
- • Work with suppliers to resolve factory related issues and concerns.
- • Advance NextEnergy building HVAC systems & coordinate work of contractors engaged in
repairs of existing building systems.
- • Provide start-up support for commercial systems.
- • Generate technical bulletins and coordinate product recalls as needed.
- • Provide technical advice on warranty claims.
Essential qualifications:
- • High school diploma or higher with 5 years of experience in the trade which may include an
apprenticeship and/or applicable vocational training, or any equivalent combination of training
and experience.
- • Knowledge of the principles, practices, materials, tools, and equipment of refrigeration, air
conditioning, and/or heating equipment operation, maintenance, and repair.
- • Skill in troubleshooting and repair of HVAC related electrical components.
- • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade.
- • Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions and to work from blueprints and
sketches.
- • Skill in locating and correcting defects in refrigeration, air conditioning, heating or related
equipment. Skill in the use and operation of tools and equipment used in the repair and
maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- • Skill in analyzing HVAC or refrigeration malfunctions from performance and test equipment
readings and determining appropriate repairs.
- • Ability to effectively communicate within a positive team environment
