When our air conditioner died last summer, we were very reluctant to spend the money to replace something that we use at best seven days per year. We live by a large bay with pretty constant cooling breezes. While our oil furnace costs have not been astronomical recently given the lower price of fuel oil, we suspected it was only a matter of time before our costs would likely skyrocket. So we concluded that a geothermal unit would be a wise investment, particularly in light of the government subsidies being offered presently. We are so very pleased with the result!
